There’s no official definition of “trunk novel” – some use this term to refer to an abandoned novel or project, hidden away. Others use it to talk about writing projects that have been put on the backburner, sometimes for many years, while focusing on newer, more promising novels.
I use the term both ways, and you’ll have to click through the links to find out which way I mean it!
