the perks of being a librarian

It seems to be ARC season (that’s Advanced Reader Copies), between the ARCs I get from frantically emailing on the YALSA listservs and those I trade with a library patron who also works at the local bookstore.  Just one of the perks of being a librarian!

These two I read and thought were really great:
Hate List by Jennifer Brown, September 1, 2009

By The Time You Read This, I’ll Be Deadby Julieanne Peters, January 5, 2010

On my “to-read” list:
Another Faust by Daniel and Dina Nayeri, August 25, 2009
I read Dr. Faustus by Christopher Marlowe in college, and it wasn’t half-bad. This looks so gothic and much more interesting…

The Ask and the Answer: Chaos Walking: Book Two by Patrick Ness, September 8, 2009
I’ve been dying to read this ever since I read the ARC of The Knife of Never Letting Go: Chaos Walking: Book One… I only hope it doesn’t end on such a cliffhanger!

You can see what books I’m reading or want to read on my Goodreads page… I love to have friends who love to read!
