This year Camp Nanowrimo is already making me do great things. I finished the rough draft of Scavengers (YAY! You can even see that it's moved from my Works in Progress to Novels!) because I needed it to be finished before I started camp. I had a whole 2 days to spare, and I decided to use them … Continue reading hi-ho it’s off to camp i go

inspirations: wolf point
I talk a little about my inspiration for the first book in the Wolf Point series over on the Hitchhikers page, but as I continue the series I feel the need to talk about an inspiration that has actually helped me to build the world of the Wolf Point series. One day, I was looking … Continue reading inspirations: wolf point
i’ve been such a slacker…
Since I proudly completed my Camp Nanowrimo goal back at the end of May, I've written maybe 5 sentences? Summer really makes me a slacker. There's so much to do! It's too nice out to be inside! I keep opening up my "Beast of Gevaudan" word document and staring at where I left it at … Continue reading i’ve been such a slacker…
editing
Look, see, I'm editing Dreamwalkers! The TV is even off! (Made possible due to the completion of my "Parks & Rec" marathon). My goal is to complete editing by the end of this week. Only 13 chapters to go! And then another read-through! And probably another round of editing... Editing is a lot more work … Continue reading editing
I am not very nice to my characters
I'm nearing the end of Camp Nanowrimo and last night I ended up writing the most in one day that I have all month (a whopping 1,300 words), and once again my main character ended up giving himself stitches (this also happens in Hitchhikers). For some reason I feel the need to break my characters … Continue reading I am not very nice to my characters
Camp Nano & other progress
After a bit of a rough couple of weeks, I am finally back on track to complete 20,000 words by the end of the month. I had figured 20K would be so easy, not even half of a regular Nanowrimo, but surprisingly it hasn't been the free ride I was expecting. A bit part of … Continue reading Camp Nano & other progress
a big sigh of relief!
I finally did it. I finally completed the first draft of Dreamwalkers!! It's a pretty big accomplishment for me. Not only is it the first novel I've completed outside of Nanowrimo since Hitchhikers (3 years ago!) but it is also the first sequel I've ever completed. You'll find the Dreamwalkers page now under Novels instead … Continue reading a big sigh of relief!
to camp or not to camp?
The time of Camp Nanowrimo is upon us again. I wasn't planning on attending, but then again, my 2014 goal of writing 500 words a day hasn't exactly panned out, and of course now that I'm nearing completion on Dreamwalkers, my mind is having slutty new ideas. Such as a Wolf Point prequel novella called … Continue reading to camp or not to camp?
goals & progress
A quarterly update on my progress: to finish and publish Dreamwalkers to finalize the print edition of Hitchhikers and offer a giveaway or two (if goal #1 happens) to finish and publish Scavengers and to possibly finish some of my other works-in-progress, including Blood Countess and another new WIP that I haven’t even added to the site yet! be able to … Continue reading goals & progress
goals and not meeting them
*sigh* I figured I'd update my word count over on the Dreamwalkers page, just to keep track of how well I'm doing on my resolution of writing 500 words a day. Unfortunately, this forces me to acknowledge that I've only written 1,679 words this year when I should be up around 6,000. I managed to … Continue reading goals and not meeting them
